Sony isn't the only one doing this. Before I got my PS3 I had 3 dvd players and 2 different DVD-ROM drives just to ensure I could play all the various forms of copy protection. Thankfully I found a player that works with all the current DVD copy protection schemes. Unfortunately it cost me $600.
